Piano Tease Next Napoleonic Project, The Danube Campaign
May 30, 2023 by brennon
Piano Wargames continue to impress with their range of 28mm Napoleonic miniatures, often available as both metal miniatures and in a digital format as STL Files. The next project from Piano Wargames is going to be focused around The Danube Campaign and I'm sure there will be plenty of folks eager to dive in.
The Danube Campaign - Infantry // Piano Wargames
The Danube Campaign miniatures will feature a selection of Austrian Hussars and Grenadiers (both Hungarian and German) as well as more of the Landwehr from lower and upper Austria. Piano Wargames seem particularly excited and eager to get stuck in and as you can see from the previews, the detail is already there on the sculpts.

They mentioned that there will be some neat options when it comes to Cavalry for both the French and the Austrians and they will have separate arms. This means that the cavalry can be put together with swords shouldered or in a more dynamic, attacking pose.

Amazing stuff once again and it will be awesome to see the miniatures in their final metal form, painted up and ready to go. I am in awe of the detailed work on the musculature of the horses who are in impressive charging poses. You've also got SO much detail on their uniforms and such that could end up with each miniature becoming a miniature masterpiece in its own right.
It is worth having a look at the expanded range from Piano Wargames as STL Files because they can also be resized so you can use these miniatures, quite effectively, for smaller scale wargames as well as 28m.
Will you be keeping an eye on the Danube Campaign's progress?

Brilliant looking figures.
My second favourite campaign after the Peninsular Campaign. I had a suspicion Piano was going to do the 1809 campaign when he did the Bavarians a couple of weeks ago.
As always his designs are top notch.
Will definitely be joining in this one. Especially looking forward to seeing what they do with the French infantry. The Bavarians and Austrians for the Tyrol were exceptional.
