The Perry’s Peek At New Franco-Prussian War Metal Artillery
January 27, 2021 by brennon
Perry Miniatures are seriously building on their selection of options for the Franco-Prussian War. The newest teasers this week were for some 28mm metal artillery which are going to be coming to the tabletop soon.

Michael is working away on the first selection of metal miniatures which will then be built on with plastic kits in the future. The options that we're seeing here are for two sets of artillery crews which you can use alongside the cannons by John Boadle.

As you can see, they have designed crews which are in the process of loading and firing these weapons. Often used as simply wound markers, I like painting up artillery crews because they allow you to build little vignettes and dioramas on the battlefield. I would certainly incorporate these into a larger display base which is covered with spent equipment.
This is just a little bit of a peek at what's popping up from Perry Miniatures but it's encouraging to see that there is plenty more getting worked on, even through lockdown!
Are you going to be trying out this period of history on the tabletop?
