The Perry Twins’ Duchy Of Warsaw Uhlans Charge Into Battle
March 19, 2024 by brennon
Perry Miniatures recently added some new miniatures to their collection in the form of the Duchy Of Warsaw Uhlans. These fellows are available across a selection of different sets over on the Perry Miniatures Webstore right now.
Duchy Of Warsaw Uhlans // Perry Miniatures
These Uhlans have been designed to work with the Napoleonic plastic horses that you can find over on the Perry Miniatures webstore. There are three types for you to choose from allowing you to make large Uhlan regiments but without having to break the bank at the same time.
There is a good mix amongst the various sets that could be used as officers and other characters. Most come with the covered czapka but you can also get some in fur caps. The poses range from those with their lances upright and those with lances levelled at their enemies. It's a great set, packed with character.
Artillery Crews
As well as the Uhlans, you can also bulk out your artillery offerings with some additional metal miniatures for your Duchy Of Warsaw.
Foot Artillery Firing Gun // Perry Miniatures
You can get your hands on the Foot Artillery above who are in the middle of firing their guns and then weapons like the Prussian 6 Pounder. This is by no means all of the artillery options available and there are many more to sneak a peek at over on the Duchy Of Warsaw section of the webstore HERE.
Prussian 6 Pounder // Perry Miniatures
The artillery crews from Perry Miniatures are as awesome as the regular troops that you can pick up. I always like seeing what Perry Miniatures do with their crew figures as they are often great for telling small stories on the tabletop.
New Characters!
As if that wasn't enough, you can also get your hands on some fantastic looking character miniatures for your Duchy Of Warsaw forces as well.

This set that is coming soon features General Jan Henryk Dabrowski, Prince Jozef Poniatowski and General Michal Sokolnicki. Now all you need to do is go off and search those names on the internet and do some background reading! Maybe you'll find a battle or two that could be fun to play out.
Ottoman Guns & French Savants
Another of the fun previews for this week was the addition of a big piece of Ottoman artillery.
Ottoman Late 18th Century 24 Pounder // Perry Miniatures
This twenty-four pounder cannon has been designed to match the Late 18th Century and the Napoleonic period. You get an awesome set of crew miniatures to go with the set and some nice accessories too like the cannon balls at the back there. A glorious set that should be coming out soon.
Another fun addition to the Perry Miniatures range is this set of French Savants from the Egyptian Campaign of 1798-1801.

Have these fellows striding around the tabletop in your skirmish games or perhaps as experts in games of The Silver Bayonet! You could also use as them as objective markers in scenarios, perhaps as fellows that you need to save from rather unfortunate situations. They will also be great for dioramas and vignettes of course.
Will you be getting any of these new Perry Miniatures releases when they land?

Must admit if I had the money, then the Perry Ottoman forces would be a definite purchase. Problem is you need a LOT of miniatures (and a lot of Cavalry as well), as it’s an army that relies on sheer numbers rather than class to win tabletop battles (it’s a real historical “horde” army). But one day….if I win the lottery….I just might…..
