I can honestly say I did not realize the amount of countries that were involved in the Napoleonic Wars. When you take in account all that fought it is mind boggling.
Now the ever talented Perry Brothers have released the 28mm Kingdom of Holland range. They have infantry and cavalry miniatures to add to the strength of the French Army. A little history lesson graciously supplied from the Perry Miniatures website:
Kingdom of Holland 1806-10
The short lived Kingdom of Holland supplied three Divisions to Napoleon when he was fighting in Germany in 1806 as well as three for the campaigns in Swedish Pomerania, Prussia and Poland in 1807. The 2nd and 4th Line Infantry served in Spain between 1808-10 with the 3rd Hussars and3rd Horse Artillery Company. During the 1806-10 period the army had a distinctive look which was lost after 1810 when Holland was absorbed into France. Thereafter the troops were fed into French regiments.
As always, the miniatures a beautiful work of art and enhance anyones' wargame table.
How big is your Napoleonic armies?

The Napoleonic wars in many ways was a world war. It certainly encompassed most of Europe and it can even be argued that the war of 1812 between British North America (Canada) and the USA was partially a consequence of the Napoleonic war (certainly the USA tried to take advantage of the situation and they were at least on friendly terms with France).
