Perry Miniatures’ Preview Their Mighty Men at Arms
March 3, 2014 by dracs
A knight can't always be charging around atop his horse, sometimes he has to get stuck in on foot. Soon you will be able to field these knightly foot soldiers, as Perry Miniatures preview the three ups for their new Men at Arms.
These Men at Arms designs come from the period of 1450 - 1500. Perry have succeeded in providing a good variety in types and styles of armour and weaponry so that these minis should look quite dramatic and individual even when included as part of a mass force.
Do any of you play wargames for this period of history?
Fantastic minis! I’ve got a Fireforge/Perry mash-up army lined up for future project and will definitely be adding these too at some stage! I like the range of different poses on offer too – especially the guys in the top row. It’s great to have such good-looking plastic kits for historical armies flagged up regularly here. Thanks Sam
the proportions aren’t exactly right between the two (the heads and hands are just that little bit different in size, not much by much at all, but still…) Mind you, hasn’t stopped me from making some late 14th, early 15th century German burgher pikemen using the Perry arms and fireforge bodies haha
Been waiting a while for these greatswords, erm men-at-arms, sorry 😛 but its absolutely fantastic to see them making progress – Duke of Norfolk and his retinue at Bosworth anyone?
Pretty. I just hoped that they´d do the crossbow armed light cavalry first.
Lovely as always from the Perrys
Just waiting for Pro Gloria to release their plastic Landsknechts and all will be well
