December 17, 2024 by brennon
Perry Miniatures are working on building up their French Revolution range in 28mm for next year. A few previews popped up this week showing off some of the characters you could drop into your armies as well as the various Line Infantry options available during the period.

Alan Perry has been working on these miniatures for the last few months with the aim of covering the Revolutionary period up until that of the Consulate period. All of the miniatures that you see here will be metal as you might have guessed.

As you might have guessed, because this is Alan Perry, all of the miniatures are festooned in detail and well-catered for when it comes to different uniform types; especially helmets. All of this goes a long way towards making this a comprehensive collection for those wanting to refight the period.

It's good that we also seem to be getting two different poses for the infantry. You have versions of the soldiers marching and others shooting and skirmishing. This makes it a great option for those looking to build up large armies for mass battle encounters as well as smaller skirmishes that might have taken place in urban environments.

All of these miniatures should be coming out in the new year at some point so keep an eye out for them in 2025. As well as the French Revolutionary period, Perry Miniatures also announced that they were working on British Peninsular and Waterloo period British in Great Coats, an 1806 Prussian Limber Team and some tweaks on a Prussian 12 Pounder. Quite a lot of plastic sets are also on the way. I am excited to see what that entails.
Have you ever considered playing the French Revolution out on the tabletop?
