Perry Create Commanders For Your Zulu Wars British
August 13, 2018 by brennon
Perry Miniatures has released two new sets of metal miniatures for those engaging in the Zulu Wars. We start with the British High Command for you to throw into the mix, a set of three characters from history worth taking note of!
These named characters include Col. Pearson, Lord Chelmsford and Lt Col. Durnford. Each of them might find a place within Her Majesty's Army as you take on the enemy on an entirely different continent.
You could of course just use these characters as general leaders for your army but I think it might be awesome to take them and tell their proper stories; maybe even try and change history with them too?
Relaxed Riflemen
It gets hot out there on the battlefields of the Zulu Wars and so you also have a set of British Infantry In Shirtsleeves for you to snap up.
These slightly sweaty soldiers are most likely going to be useful for those trying to show off a force that has been on the road for a long time, consistently attached by the local population for their endeavours upon their lands (and rightly so).
Could this be a perfect force to snap up for those interested in Black Powder 2nd Edition?
Are you tempted by some new British soldiers?

Looking good – the infantry in shirtsleeves are a nice idea, adds a historically accurate flair whilst contributing a lot of character to a Zulu Wars army, especially if you’re focusing on the actions at Rorke’s Drift or Islandlwana…
These look nice! @avernos needs these to add to Rorke’s Drift.
already on that one 🙂
Those do look really good.
they don’t like it upem, nice figures.
These look great.
How do these size up compared to Warlord’s Zulu British troops? I already have about a regiment of Warlords stuff, if these are sized the same I might snag some.
they’re bigger, noticeably bigger, and the proportions on the warlord games figures are chunkier and for me better for playing with. I lost a few perry bayonets when I was painting them. I shall dig out some and take some photos for you. It hasn’t stopped me mixing and matching though
Thanks for the offer to snap some shots. I look forward to seeing a comparison.
finally remembered I offered to do this, I’ve posted a topic for it since I can PM you pics or add them in here.
