Pendraken Bolster Their Tiny Persian & Greek Armies
February 3, 2020 by brennon
Pendraken Miniatures has now released a whole bunch of new Achaemenid Persian & Greek models in 1omm for you to use when battling through the Ancient world.
The collection is a revamp of their older Ancient range and gives you the core of two big fighting forces which could be used across a range of different games. They have mentioned that as well as resculpting some of the older miniatures, they have also been developing new models too. This means you can make rather diverse armies for the period.
A lot of the images for the range are quite small so I've picked out a peek at some of the cavalry options for both factions as they give you a nice look at some of the detail they've worked on for the collection.
I think for this time period battling on a smaller scale actually works when you want to go errrr...big? When it comes to building up a massive army and pitting them against each other I think the spectacle of glittering armies which absolutely coat the table would be very impressive. You can have a lot of soldiers on the table at once and they don't take long to paint!
I would certainly look at Pendraken for a lot of smaller-scale miniatures, be they Historical or Fantasy based. I know we've talked to the team before at events and they really do enjoy tinkering around with all sorts of miniatures from across the Ancient world so you'll certainly find something for you.
Hopefully, some of you folks pick up these miniatures and paint them up so we can see what they look like finished!

Ben, you might want to edit the scale to 10mm before Torros tells you off 🙂
Cheers for the nudge – force of habit to just type 15mm haha.
Still not right at 1omm… someone needs more than a telling off! 😉 you been licking those white metal furries again Ben?
