The free updated rules for First Blood will be coming soon but until then, you can buy yourself the Softcover Rulebook so you can dive in and start playing. Unlike the grand, rank n' flank style games of The Last Argument Of Kings, First Blood focuses on a single character and their warband.
Diving head first into a full mass battle wargame can be a daunting task so having a skirmish game to have a go at is a great way to begin playing games within a world. The miniatures from Conquest are so unique that it would be a shame not to pick them up and give the game a go.
First Blood - Two-Player Starter Set
If you want to go all-in, you can also pick up the new Two-Player Starter Set for First Blood which contains the rulebook (of course) but also two warbands to get you going.
First Blood Two Player Starter Set // Conquest
Inside this set, you get skirmishing forces for the W’adrhŭn and The Old Dominion. For The Old Dominion, you get the Kheres, Moroi, Praetorians and Leigonnaries that can be led by the Xhillarch. The W’adrhŭn then get the Blooded, Braves, Hunters and Slingers that fight under the command of the deadly Predator.
First Blood - Two Player Starter Set Contents // Conquest
You've then got the getting started guides and more to help you plan your journey into Conquest and you can follow along with our myriad of content to get an in-depth look at the game. It might be worth giving this a shot, or just keeping an eye out for boxed sets that you like from other factions so you can get a taste of each faction and their range.
Are you tempted by these new First Blood offerings?
