Paizo Take You Into Space Soon With Starfinder Beginner Box
April 2, 2019 by brennon
Paizo will soon be releasing the Starfinder Beginner Box for those who want to delve into this role-playing game set during a distant future.
Inside the set, you're going to get...
- A 96-page Heroes' Handbook, detailing character creation, weapons and equipment, magic spells, and general rules for playing the game
- A 96-page Game Master's Guide packed with adventures, alien adversaries, an introduction to the Starfinder setting, and advice on how to create and narrate science-fantasy adventures
- A complete set of 7 polyhedral dice
- More than 80 full-colour pawns depicting diverse heroes and aliens
- Six pre-generated character sheets to throw players right into the action
- Six blank character sheets to record the abilities of custom-made heroes
- Six player aid cards for quick rules references during play
- A durable, reusable, double-sided Flip-Mat play surface that works with any kind of marker
These are always a good way to get yourself stuck into a new role-playing game, providing you with all of the things you need to begin playing as both a Game Master or Player. Pre-generated heroes and adventures make things a lot easier and can help form the basis for the kind of characters your friends make further down the line.
Will you be picking this up?

Have the Pathfinder Beginner Box and that was good start, but the campaign stalled.
Starfinder RPG I have, but the classes didn’t sit right with my homebrew setting, so that paused while I fixed it… and as we started Modern Age instead it may never resume.
I may pick up the starter box anyway, but save for UK Games Expo if I can’t see anything better (never go to a convention and come home empty handed, it’s the law).
