Warlord Games has been showing off a few more painted previews of what you can expect when the Judge Dredd game hits tabletops later this year. A few more scenes of characters and crims in Mega-City One showed up over the last few days.

Judge Dredd - Warlord Games

The first preview I saw that caught my eye showed off Dredd himself wandering the streets, potentially about to get ambushed by a gnarly looking gangbanger! I love that they've kept that comically exaggerated jawline going with Dredd in these miniatures, a nice reminder of his comic book origins.

There was also another Judge wandering around that might cause a few problems for the law in the city. Here we have Judge Death exclaiming to the heavens and no doubt cackling about his latest evil plan.

Judge Death - Warlord Games

The world of Judge Dredd has always been a fascinating one but it pretty much passed me by. Apart from the recent Karl Urban film, there isn't much that I know about it although it is clear that it's a firm favourite with a lot of wargamers.

One thing that I do like with what Warlord have been doing here is that they have taken these classic characters and updated them with appropriately modern sculpts. Yes, the weirdness still continues across the board but it's done in a new and stylish way.

Fatties - Warlord Games

I think may would agree that these Fatties above as an example are much better than their older counterparts out there on the market.

I look forward to seeing what else Warlord have up their sleeve for Judge Dredd and it will be nice to see how much has evolved from Strontium Dog into this.

What do you think?

"I look forward to seeing what else Warlord have up their sleeve for Judge Dredd..."
