First Look At Painted Miniatures For Conan: Rise Of Monsters
July 24, 2015 by brennon
Pulposaurus Entertainment showed off the first painted model coming to the tabletop for Conan: Rise of Monsters (CROM) which will hit Kickstarter next week. Now, this is the painted master from the factory but they assure us that this is close to what the pre-painted models will look like...
They've shown each stage of production here with the concept art followed by a first sculpt and then finally the painted model. What's reassuring is that the sculpt quality is good for these miniatures too!
I do hope that the painted quality is as top notch as we see here as this could set a new bar for companies looking to do pre-painted miniatures for their range.
What do you think?

That looks to be comfortably at the top end of tabletop standard. I’m very impressed. If this is the new standard for organic pre-paints then the future of the industry might well be PPP.
Agreed I’ll be watching this very closely!
I’ve hard time believing that all the pre-paints are going too look that good, especially the infantry models. Dry-brushing scales is one thing, painting human infantry by the hundreds is another.
But if they do then…. WOW!
look good.
Looks awesome, I bit to focused on named characters (I’ve always prefered making my own) but Conan is a perfect setting for a low key yet heroic fantays game. I’m positive.
Shane Hensley clearly stated on Facebook that that was the sample for the production team to follow and NOT the final paint.
Still a gorgeous model. I’m so looking forward to this game.
