Making A Miniature Into Art With Journey By Marrow Production
June 24, 2014 by deltagamegirl22
If you liked the look of the miniatures for the game Journey: Wrath of Demons before... you will LOVE them after seeing them painted! We see miniatures every day for all kinds of games, but sometimes you see minis that become art. Marrow Production shared a picture of their mini, Kogaiji, painted by Hon Ho- and it is AMAZING!
I find myself gravitating to their Facebook page to look at the pictures of the minis again and again. We were drawn to the unpainted minis at Adepticon because of the fantastic detail, and painted- they are taken to a whole new level!
Because I mentioned the unpainted minis, here's a reminder of the detail I was speaking about. This is the largest mini in the game, Kei Lun, sculpted by Ray Wong. Have you ever seen anything so awesome- and there's not a speck of paint on it!
Do you hear that sound? It's the all too familiar sound of money flying from my wallet. When you see beautiful work like this, how could it not?
Do you plan to go on this Journey?

LOVE everything about their miniatures.
‘Tis a shame that they are missing their June release date, would have been an awesome Bday present to receive my first backed kick starter.
…….Shame or not, if that’s what they are producing, I’ll wait, whilst homing my painting more to do these bad boys more justice than I could now (who needs tabletop for these guys?)
Don’t keep up waiting too long guys! We can only drool so much 😉
Wow, those are super slick.
Beautiful miniatures. My favourite is the monkey god. I see Marrow Production are still finalising the box content and amending some of the rules, so it’s still a WIP. I was just wondering if anyone knows if they have given an estimated release date for Journey: Wrath of demons?
In my last conversation with Hon, from Marrow Productions, he said they are planning to ship their first wave in October. 🙂
deltagamegirl22,
Many thanks for that. I am really looking forward to this one.
Wow. Must have.
The sculpts in this game look awesome and I can’t wait to get my copy.
The only downside though is they’re using the shite PVC plastic that’s become the norm for figures these days. Which means they’ll suffer from major shrinkage, lack of detail and be a right bitch to clean up. 🙁
