Otherworld Miniatures Carve Out Their Stone Golem
January 16, 2015 by dracs
The sculpt for Otherworld Miniatures' Stone Golem is finished and has just shown its stony face.
The Stone Golem takes the form of a carved Persian statue of some great god or hero, come to life and ready to wreak havoc. Andrew May, the sculptor behind this model, has managed to convey the rocky appearance very well through the chips and flaws on the Golem's surface.
The one thing I would say is that it looks little top heavy to my eye, with the arms being disproportionately long to the rest of the body. However, this does add to the inhuman appearance of the Stone Golem.
Think the Stone Golem will lumber into your collection from Otherworld Miniatures?
Very babylonian looking.
His legs look too skinny, for the upper body
Very nice golem sculpt, although I’m not too keen on the dynamics of the pose. It looks a little too animated for my tastes, but not enough to stop me buying it.
