Osprey’s Pirates Head Out On The Seven Seas This Summer
April 8, 2014 by brennon
Osprey Wargaming are churning out the games right now and this summer sees the release of On The Seven Seas which will allow you to delve into the Golden Age of Piracy...
The focus of the fighting will be through boarding actions and landfall missions where crews will clash in personal vendetta-style attacks on rival captains. It all sounds very exciting indeed and I want to see how they develop this Fear and Greed theme they have been talking about.
North Star also showed off this miniature from the upcoming range. Some of you might notice a few similarities between him and Edward Kenway from the Assassins Creed series. If you're going to take to the high seas it might pay to sail alongside the Assassins too for some added support.
What do you think of the Osprey games?

I followed the link to read some more and it does look like it has potential to be a fun game.
Controlling your crew through a mixture of fear and greed sounds appealing and hopefully there will becplenty of scope for treachery and backstabbing along the way.
Funny how in wargaming a lot of us delight in being unethical rogues.
Looks fun, Osprey does some really interesting games! Moreover, at last I could use some of my minis from Ron and Bones
nice. been doing a lot of research into the Caribbean theatre of war during the Napoleonic era recently, be nice to shoe horn some Royal Marines, Royal Navy press gangs, French corsairs, Admiral Cochrane and the fight for South American independence as well as your traditional 18th century loveliness.. heheee oddly excited by this release…
Me too. There’s an absolute wealth of colourful stories and characters to draw inspiration from for a game.
Finally an other game to use the Black Scorpion Pirates … Not that I don’t like Cleavage, sorry Cutlass
