Osprey Games Battle Zombies With New Last Days Skirmish Rules
June 29, 2018 by brennon
It's kind of criminal that I haven't looked at this before, but Osprey Games has now released Last Days: Zombie Apocalypse, onto their webstore for you to dive into.
Here's some information about the game, written by Ash Barker of Guerilla Miniature Games fame...
"Last Days: Zombie Apocalypse is a skirmish-scale miniatures game of survival horror. It pits players against each other in a nightmarish near-future where the dead have returned to life and are feasting on the living.
Players build their own factions, representing desperate civilians, military personnel, or hardened survivors, and must explore, scavenge, and fight in order to survive another day. Rival gangs are only one of the dangers they face - mindless zombies wander the streets, driven by insatiable hunger and drawn by the sound of combat!
A gang's ability to scavenge is as vital as their combat ability, and players must ensure that they have the resources to survive in this hostile world. Scenarios and campaigns allow you to develop your gang, gain experience and recruit new henchmen to build up your strength or replace the inevitable casualties of the zombie apocalypse."
If you'd like to see how the game plays then make sure to check out the Let's Play that Ash did on his channel...
The game looks awesome and maybe something that you'd use as a level up from playing the likes of The Walking Dead: All Out War if you wanted to generate a more in-depth and campaign-based world.
Will you be giving this a go?

I just got a copy today. Lovely book, great art, excellent quality as expected for an Osprey hard cover. I’ll be digging in to the rules over the weekend. So far it looks like a fun campaign style skirmish. I’ll finally have a game for all those WGF zombie and survivor kits I got. Incidentally the new Warlord versions of the spruces are much nicer. I definitely recommend them.
Got it Tueday and read it cover tocover.
Slightly remeniscent of Noecromunda as I expected, but less convoluted and with rules for your hide out as well.
I love the fact that you get to choose archeype characters, like fireman, recueworker or survivalist.
This immidiatly adds character to your crew.
Looking forward to my first game
Looks good.
I purchased just to support Ash. He is an excellent influence on the table top wargaming community, and I want to see more of his work in the future.
The fact its an excellent game is just icing on the cake.
I will take a closer look.
Got GMG in my youtube sub list and the channel is pretty good. Lots of hobby and many different games covered. The guy really is deep in the hobby trenches. Recommended !
I got my copy. Am a big Walking Dead fan, but I think Ash is a great guy and wanted to support. The crew creation element is great. I can use my Walking Dead survivors and Walkers to play, but have inevitably bought a couple of extra minis from Hasslefree to flesh out my crew the way I wanted. Looking forward to my first game.
