North Star & Osprey Games Hint At New Fantasy Miniatures Range
April 14, 2017 by stvitusdancern
North Star Military Miniatures and Osprey Games have shown some previews of some Fantasy Dwarf miniatures.
These multipart sprues will allow you to build five miniatures per the pictures that are posted on Facebook.
Now the information I am finding floating on the
I heard there will be the other classic races as well such as elves and goblins. Here is the official announcement:
The Dwarves are Marching to War!
Later this year, North Star Military Figures and Osprey Games will be releasing a new range of fantasy miniatures, beginning with a plastic box set of Dwarf Infantry! Each sprue from this set allows you to build 5 Dwarves armed with spears, hand weapons, or bows, with a huge variety of head options.
We are also working on similar boxes for Elves and Goblins! There are no official release dates yet, BUT we will have a limited number of pre-release Dwarf sprues for sale at Salute!!! These will be £5 a sprue and strictly limited to one per customer.
More sneak peeks from the range will be on display at the Osprey Games stand; so, swing by stand TJ05 early, get your sprue, and see what all of the excitement is about.
It makes you wonder what is coming? Mass battle or skirmish game? It looks like Salute will be very interesting this year.
What do you think it will be?

Going to get some of these bad boys for sure
Like the look of these, and full fantasy range is most exciting bit for me. Do like Northstar’s plastics
They remind me of fantasy figures from the 80’s and 90’s which is a good thing for me
Me too. They look great.
Aye!
Agree, there is a nice understated look to them, not OTT
And by that, meant to say they are the style of an 80s/90s dwarf, but look to have the sculpting quality of a modern release.
They look pretty cool. I can see me purchasing some of these for my D&D group.
They have knees !!
Their Barbarians were a joy to put together
Frostgrave addition perhaps
Yeah, I’d assume more for Frostgrave before an entirely new line.
Excellent news. If they are the same price as the current FG models they will be most welcome.
Bang goes another New Years resolution!
It was inevitable …. dwarfs are the new “black” 😉
Btw ..they look really nic too
those are some of the nicest looking fantasy dwarves o have seen.
Can’t wait to see how they stand next to another non-dwarf… They look nice and i do like their plastics…
This is great news! Love that it’s multipart and customisable. Love that the designs are simple but elegant and look so simple to paint. May not be as finely detailed as GW but if the price is right …
I hope I can find a store that delivers to Asia *fingers crossed*
