Onyx Offer Up New Supplement To Cults Of The Blood Gods

Onyx Path recently announced that they are currently working on a new supplement for Vampire: The Masquerade fifth edition looking into the twisted faiths and cults of the World of Darkness' Kindred.

In a press release, World of Darkness developer Matthew Dawkins said:

“I’m tremendously excited to be developing Cults of the Blood Gods for V5! We’ll be seeing all kinds of faiths and factions, from the Church of Set to the Hecata, the Bahari to the Church of Caine, the Mithraic Mysteries to the Cult of Shalim, and more besides... Being able to provide rules for this edition’s Clan of Death is quite the privilege, and we’ll be looking to impress people with how they’re presented. I’ve got an excellent, diverse team with a range of experience on this book, and we’re all going to work hard to make it stand out.”

The supplement is designed for storytellers to tell stories involving the many and varied vampire cults and sub-sects still at large in the night, including rules to play as the Hecata, the Clan of Death, who may be a possible alliance between the former necromantic bloodlines such as the Giovanni.

This sourcebook sounds like it will have plenty of new stuff for players to explore and add another layer of depth to this new night we find ourselves in. The concept of faith is one you might normally consider foreign to a vampire themselves, so this could really open up options for stories that explore the nature of belief, or just provide you with some shadowy cabals working on profane rituals.

A prestige edition is planned to go to Kickstarter later this year, with standard digital and print editions heading out some time after.
