Modiphius has now released the range of roleplaying products you need to dive into playing the epic 5th Edition adjacent world of Odyssey Of The Dragonlords.
Leading the way we have the Player's Guide which gives you lots of options for creating characters and adventuring within the world of Theylea which is inspired by Greek Mythology. Here is what's included...
Inspired by ancient Greek mythology, Thylea is a brand new campaign setting—a lost continent that can be seamlessly added to any existing campaign setting.
- An Epic Campaign. Join with other prophesied heroes to undertake an epic quest to save the world of Thylea, sail the islands of the Forgotten Sea, and battle the Titans! The adventure will take a party of heroes from 1st to 15th level (or higher)
- Choose your Epic Path. Includes eight epic paths for players to choose from. Epic paths provide powerful motivations for your hero, making you a central part of the story. Change Thylea’s history forever, and go down in history as one of the new Dragonlords!
- The World of Thylea. Includes an overview of the history, factions, kingdoms, and laws of the forgotten continent. Learn about the gods, the titans, and the legendary Dragonlords.
- New Monsters. Includes a bestiary of over 30 new monsters inspired by Greek mythology, with lore, statistics, and full-page illustrations.
- New Magic Items. Includes over 20 new magic items inspired by Greek mythology. Find them scattered throughout the adventure or craft them using the legendary Mithral Forge!
- New Races and Class Archetypes. Includes a variety of new playable races and class archetypes inspired by Greek mythology: satyrs, centaurs, medusae, as well as hoplites, amazons, and philosopher wizards!
As well as being able to pick up the print version of the booklet which gets you going in this world you can also download, for free, a PDF Version which will give you a good chance to see if the game is for you.
Adventure Book & More
On top of the Player's Guide, you've also got the Adventure Book which is full of maps, illustrations, adventures, scenarios and more to get you invested in this world in hardback form.
So, here you are presented with a rather fancy 460-page book which really is going to be the way to experience this world in full. This can also be picked up alongside a big map of the city, a Dungeon Master's Screen and a set of Character Sheets which feature their own unique designs.

I do like Greek mythology, so much more entertaining than the younger myths that people believe in now… although many call them religions… which is just another name of mythology.
Anyway, I was tempted by book, but the PDF is my favourite price so I’ll check that out first.
Edit: I like the Players Guide… some cool races and class archetypes. I can feel my will power weakening… had a bad week at work (and it’s not over yet… I work Saturday too) and feel the need to treat myself.
Could be fun playing some of the classic film’s in game’s?
Looks awesome, only complaint is that it seems like the players guide has a lot of content that players don’t need.
What content are you referring too as unneeded by players?
It seemed relevant to me… information about the world, races, classes etc.
