North Star Show Off Slithering Snakemen For Frostgrave
February 21, 2018 by brennon
North Star showed off some of the painted Snakemen which are coming soon in wonderful plastic. All of these models are supporting the expanding world of Frostgrave and the new Ghost Archipelago expansion by Osprey Games.
As you'd imagine with North Star plastic sets they come with all manner of body types as well as options for heads, weapons and additional accessories.
Having been a lover of Conan: The Adventurer when I was younger (who am I kidding, I still love it) I can't help but feel it would be awesome to drop them into an adventure with the 'mightiest warrior ever'.
Since the kit is plastic and ripe for some bodging and bitz box tinkering the team at North Star also showed off a Snakeman with a raygun for your Pulp adventures.
This looks like it's going to be another great set for those building up a collection of cool monsters, warbands and more for Frostgrave and beyond. These kind of kits are a godsend for Dungeon Masters as well. With their Cultists, Gnolls and now Snakemen there are all manner of dungeon beasties in their range.
What do you think of these Snakemen?

A very good idea to use them with some kind of Conan game. If I remember correctly, there was a certain Thulsa Doom in the first Conan movie. He could stiffen snakes to turn them into arrows and fire them through the desert air, and he also could transform himself into a snake. What does a snake god need? Yes, snake minions, warriors, fighting servants, priests and, of couse, giant mice for dinner. Except for the last one, the North Star set will probably “deliver”.
I think the next nickstarter is soon
Nice, but for me they’re missing a long snaky tail.
Actually you are very right, that is precisly what they are missing … i couldn’t quite put my finger on why I liked them but didn’t love them.
I wasn’t too sure just seeing the plastic minis but they look much better with a splash of paint on them. I like the sci-fi conversion idea.
Loving these 😀 .I can see a few making it into my Frostgrave Warband as Infantry or Men at Arms.
Those are very nice.
Nice looking figures.
I’m not sure why I stopped paying attention to Frostgrave, maybe it was the wait for these guys to come out in plastic.
Damn they look good. Better start finishing my cultists and buying some terrain.
Probably the 1st frost grave minis i dont like the look of
