North Star Show Off The Frostgrave Barbarian Sprues
October 14, 2016 by brennon
North Star have shown off the full sprues for their new plastic Barbarian Sprues as part of Frostgrave by Osprey Games and Forgotten Pacts, the new expansion. See what you think...
They've gone with a similar style of model where you get the body and legs sections together and then everything else can optionally be posed however you wish. There are plenty of axes and hammers as you might imagine from a Barbarian clan.
We like that all of the bodies have cloaks of some description too. Fur is always fun to paint and it gives you great looking effects with very little effort. The heads are nice and different too!
Basically, we're going to have a lot of fun with this!
What do you think?

While the Gnolls were fun but a little goofy, the other plastic kits for Frostgrave have been excellent and this one is no exception. Very tempted to do a Skyrim-inspired warband with this kit or perhaps remake my Middenheimers to give them a consistent look (they are a mix of Perry and Gripping Beast with a few GW bits thrown in) with the added advantage of being appropriate for both Frostgrave and Mordheim!
Cracking sprue, really like the range. My dislike of the game play is my only reason for not jumping on the nickstarter
Great looking models and could easily use for Saga
looks good and nice range of weapons on the sprue
I’ve knocked up a couple of sprues of regular soldiers for Frostgrave and kitbashed some cultists for another project. They’re very good indeed, with tons of options.
Now what can i use these for?
These look brilliant
Do they really need to add that base stand on the model?
The base has been brought before. I’ve found it pretty easy to slice them off laterally but would rather not have to.
