North Star Begin Mage Previews For Frostgrave Ahead Of Nickstarter
April 10, 2015 by brennon
North Star have decided that Frostgrave is going to go ahead via a Nickstarter (their version of a Kickstarter) during May with an aim to have the game released in June 2015. Before that they have a Wizard from the game to show off!
Now that's the kind of Wizard I like to use in my games. Spells, big beard and of course a hammer to smash your opponents around if you need to. This Enchanter has been designed by Mark Copplestone and was painted by Kev Dallimore. He represents just one of twenty Wizards that will be shown off over the time between now and the Nickstarter launch.
According to the chatter over on social media the game will come with ten different schools of magic that feature both a Wizard and Apprentice for each. That's a lot of spellcasters.
I think this could be a very fun wargame to pick up which focuses in on the way in which magic is used on the battlefield. With Osprey Publishing behind this team they've also got a crack rules writing on board too.
Will you be keeping an eye on Frostgrave?

Looking forward to this. The plastic henchmen could be a big hit!
That wizard looks rather nice.
looks like a 70s GW mini, like it though.
Pretty good looking figure, only thing that bugs me is that his stick looks pretty bent.
Sweet looking ‘Gandwarf’ 🙂
