North Star Launch Their Nickstarter Pre-Order For The Snakemen Of Frostgrave
March 3, 2018 by dracs
North Star Military Figures have opened their Nickstarter Pre-order Programme to allow players to start getting their coils around the upcoming Snakemen for Frostgrave: The Ghost Archipelago.
The Snakemen inhabit the lost ruins of the Ghost Archipelago, although little is known of their society.
The Nickstarter brings with it a number of Snakemen specialist variants to choose from.
The one that has my particular interest is the new Hemata.
That is such a cool looking monster and one that fits in well with the Ghost Archipelago setting.
The Nickstarter is set to end on March 22nd, giving you plenty of opportunities to check out the reptilian models that North Star are bringing out.
What are your thoughts on these slithering denizens of the archipelago?
"The Snakemen inhabit the lost ruins of the Ghost Archipelago."
I love these. Especially the hunch backed look. Great for anything. D&D game themed in a jungle comes to mind, but I will be playing FG: GA
They look nice. Being 28mm and plastic I probably wont bother
I think these guys would be great fighting Roman Legionaries. An expedition up the Nile?
Plus I have my new Green Stuff Colour-shift paints….
The Hemata is definitely going into my Frostgrave collection 🙂 . My Wizard will appreciate a bodyguard like that.
Brilliant dino/lizard troops for an alternative army.
Tails not included.
: D They are great. Totally 80ties.
Wouldn’t they be cold blooded? Seems to me they would be at a disadvantage in a place known as Frostgrave.
#Justsaying
🙂 they are for Ghost Archipelago set in the Southern Oceans. Like Frostgrave but with added Sun cream and sand.
Don’t forget the palm trees and coconut drinks with a little umbrella 😀 .
Also butler monkeys
Not really getting the ” Snakemen ” idea behind the figures , where are the tails ? Kind of remind me of those reptile / alien creatures from the 90s Lost World TV show . I do think that a sprue or two might end up on my hobby bench for kit bashing purposes though
Interesting, but snakepeople with legs and no tail just makes them look like lizardpeople who dropped their tail in fear?
