North Star Take Closer Look At New Frostgrave Demons
December 7, 2020 by brennon
North Star Military Figures has been taking a closer look at the new Frostgrave plastic Demons which are available as part of the support for The Red King. If you like the idea of facing off against even more fearsome foes then get a look at these 28mm plastic sprues.
Demon Plastic Sprue // Frostgrave
This gives you a better look at some of the bits that you get to play around with when making the Demons that are fighting in service of The Red King. All of them are clad in heavy armour and you get a variety of options when it comes to their feet which is cool. On top of that, you've got all manner of melee weapons, ranged options, heads, tails, accessories and more.

Obviously, you could use these just as the non-player characters that you're going to be bumping into during your Red King campaigns. But, you could also use them as your warband if you wanted to stretch the options available to your Wizard? I love the idea that they have made a pact with The Red King and his demonic servants are now fighting by your side.
You could also mix and match these Demons with the rest of the plastic kits out there from North Star to make some interesting combinations!
Winged Demons!
Originally, there were going to be the options to add wings to your Demons on the plastic sprues but they just took up too much space. Instead, the folks at North Star have added a few metal version of the Hrut to use when the scenarios call for it.

Hrut Stingers // Frostgrave
So, whilst you might need to do some jiggery-pokery when it comes to bringing these Demons to the tabletop, the metal Hrut Stingers are a nice option to make up for it. Make sure to delve into the rest of The Red King range HERE as there are plenty of additional miniatures in there.
Are you tempted to snap these up?

Classic sprue type but, they do the job right!
Wow their a great looking set of demons.
Or if you could do a head swoop they can be fly my pritties?
Those are some good looking demons.
I appreciate the amount of minis in the boxsets released and the options provided in each box. These boxed sets are great way to build up those units and look great.
I think I would like these better if they all had the cocked leg and cloven hoof thing going on. I like the stingers better… maybe they’re better in real life.
Looking ace! Going to have to grab a box or two of these…
I would have snapped these up if they were all walking on their toes (I had to google it – creatures who walk like that are called ‘digitigrade’).
i like it, thx
These would make great Abyssal Guard for Kings of War.
