Nightwing Is Next Hero Preview For Monolith’s Batman
May 14, 2017 by brennon
The world of Batman is looking increasingly awesome on the tabletop with Monolith showing off another of the heroes for their Batman Board Game, coming in the future. See what you think of Nightwing...
Nightwing is looking particularly awesome here with this render by Arnaud Boudoiron based on the work of Jimm Lee.
These models do seem like they've hit the nail on the head of being in tune with the look of the comic books rather than drawing from the movies or the like. I think the stance they've gone for here with Nightwing is also great, a perfect combat stance, much like they did with Batman striking his foes.
What do you think?

This looks pretty good.
I saw a little prototype card art, probably won’t be final, on a video posted in the forum at a con for the game being demoed. While it was all WIP and using bits and pieces while tokens, maps and minis are being produced; one thing caught my eye. The art on the Red Hood card.
Again, clearly not finished and most likely not final, but it depicted him having a large rotary cannon or minigun of some sort. Looks badass, I hope it makes mini form, nice change from dual wield pistols.
I think it’s the mask giving that impression.
as a rule , I hate that they dilute the Bat Mythos with Todd using guns , for me Batman needs to be antigun as it is what caused him in the first place.
But in todays comics , you need ‘anti heroes’ apparently , if they would tweak him to using rayguns or rubber bullets , it would be better…
Personally, I’d have been happier if both Jason Todd and the Red Hood had been left in the 80s
Something about the face on this one, it looks like a huge Joker grin to me. Otherwise its a good sculpt.
That’s what I thought too, but taking a closer look I think it might actually be part of his mask; instead of being a regular domino mask it’s got ‘wings’ that come down his cheeks and it’s been sculpted with a deep/prominent crease between the mask and his face which gives the impression of a Joker grin. Maybe it’ll look better once painted.
