Leading the way is the Command Group which is always going to be handy when it comes to making sure that your troops do what they are meant to do! This dashing band of fellows look like they could bring some heroic daring-do to the tabletop!

From there, you essentially have two sets of designs but armed with different weapons. The first designs feature French Cavalry who are clad in their breastplates and come armed with Swords or Pistols.

This gives you some good ways for you to mix and match your units when you're building them. You could have them completely armed with swords or pistols or you could mix them up when building a regiment so that you get the look of a unique band of individuals, charging into battle.

Choose from Buff Coats or Breastplates and of course the aforementioned pistols and swords. I love seeing the bare metal miniatures but also the finished and fully painted miniatures so you can see how they look once you've done all of the hard work. The miniatures seem packed with detail and with plenty of fancy facial hair and flowing locks that seem apt for the French!

This now gives you a solid core of cavalry to use during the Thirty Years War, building on what they've already produced for the period.

Will you be picking up those new French Cavalry sets?
