New Stark & Lannister Starter Sets Coming To A Song Of Ice & Fire

The Stark and Lannister armies of A Song Of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Games are now getting themselves separate Starter Sets from CMON. This offers up a solid new option for those wanting to get started with either of these great Westerosi Houses.
Lannister Starter Set // A Song Of Ice & Fire
Much like with the other Starter Sets for the different Houses, this set comes with a great range of characters for use on the battlefield and the Tactics Board. You get everything that you need to play that specific army including dice, terrain, cards and more.
As well as breaking up the contents of the initial two-player starter set, this also comes with various updated sculpts. So, it's well worth diving in for those who have perhaps looked on at the Lannisters or the Starks from the sidelines.
Stark Starter Set // A Song Of Ice & Fire
Some great-looking miniatures for those wanting to get stuck into this game. I had my misgivings about A Song Of Ice & Fire to begin with but after watching a bunch more games, I realised how well they've managed the two different elements. The actual battlefield fighting is quick and easy to resolve and the Tactics Board offers up a really interesting side-game!
If you were ever wondering about playing A Song Of Ice & Fire then you've now got two new options!

All the figures for this game do look fantastic.
Good to see, makes sense given that the original starter isn’t really the best way in now. Nice to see a bit more variety and that there are new sculpts for older units. Hadn’t intended to get these, but might well do so in the end.
A someone that is interested in getting in taht game, why is the old box not the best way anymore?
The old box may well be better value if you want both factions. However these are all new sculpts, a couple of different units and you can buy the factions solo, rather than having both. Plus faction specific dice, woo!
If you’ve got an option on a really good price for the the original set and its exactly what you want then it’s not bad. If you only wanted one side then faction boxes are the way. The original boy has the oldest sculpts and these have been getting better over the years. Also cards will have changed and depending on how you want to play they would require and update – not imperative and not something you would need immediately.
Those are some nice looking starter sets.
Great to see updates to the starter set minis. I’d been tempted to get the Stark vs Lannister set but put off by the better quality and variation of the more recent sculpts from other factions.
Apart from having no money I have no excuse not to get these now. The ASOIAF ranges really are very nice.
