New Sci-Fi Rules, Xenos Rampant Now Available From Osprey Games!
November 25, 2022 by brennon
Daniel Mersey and Richard Cowen's Xenos Rampant Sci-Fi wargaming rules are now available for you to snap up from the folks at Osprey Games.
Xenos Rampant // Osprey Games
Xenos Rampant has been designed as a setting-agnostic and large skirmish wargame where you play out epic battles with your 28mm miniatures. The core mechanics will be familiar to those who have played Lion Rampant but there are obvious tweaks and changes included to make it work with the Sci-Fi setting.
Inside the book, you'll find all of the core rules plus army lists for a bunch of different forces and scenarios to play out as well. The book also deals with some of the sub-genres of Sci-Fi wargaming including Post-Apocalyptic settings, Weird War and Near Future.
With a lot of different Sci-Fi miniatures out there in the market and folks feeling disillusioned with the likes of Warhammer 40,000, maybe Xenos Rampant could be a neat way for you to use your miniatures that are gathering dust with a different set of rules.

Any chance of an OTT Let’s Play?
We have been thinking about it 🙂
I have my pre-order. It looks dashed good. Worthy of an army project, now where did I put les Grognards?
I have mine on preorder as well. I will be using it for my Isorian force which I will customize now that ‘Antares’ is basically dead in my country.
I also want to see if I can use these rules to play with 15mm sci-fi armies. I have two still in their boxes. Since these games work on ‘strength points’ where units are concerned, I think they can be used convincingly for multi-base troops with a unit being anywhere from 2 to 6 bases.
yup in fact the author suggests changing things up and instead of running a squad why not take a giant alien beast or vehicle with the statline instead. So multibasing is fine, and as I have said so many times in the past dropping to a smaller scale makes the ranges more suitable so you don’t have to do anything expect get them on the table
Saw this deal over at “The Sprue Shop” (along with the Xenos Rampant rules at 10% off), just the thing to get your Aliens/Predator style of game on (along with some of those Alien Trees from the Mantic Kickstarter 😀 ) https://thesprueshop.co.uk/ols/products/jungle-bug-special-wa
