New SBG Issue Takes Thorin’s Company Into The Mountains!
July 30, 2018 by brennon
A new issue of the SBG Magazine is on the way soon as we got a look at the cover over on the exceptionally friendly Great British Hobbit League Facebook Group. Damian and Tom, alongside a team of volunteers, do a sterling job with these fan magazines for fans of Middle-earth.
The new issue is going to be taking Thorin & Company into the Misty Mountains where they are racing to climb these treacherous peaks as Stone Giants fight around them. As you can see from the cover they are indeed going to be seeing some massive Stone Giants taking to the tabletop thanks to Tim Croft.
Make sure to head on over to the Facebook Group and watch out for when orders go live for the new issue.
Have you read any of their previous issues?

That cover image is an absolute stonker.
Don’t they have anyway to get the issues with facecrook? I don’t do anti-social media.
I have first couple of issues I think, but now they are inaccessible.
You can email them to order a copy as far as I remember [email protected]
Just have to email them and you can get your hands on a magazine and back issues occasionally too @pagan8th
New giant’s sound’s good.
No new models of course, but a nice fan project there indeed.
boo hiss perhaps later finger crossed.
That cover image is absolutely stunning.
Oh wow this is an amazing cover.. The Stone Giants are dear to me as I helped design them. I sculpted 3 Maquettes using grey plastilene before they went off to Weta digital. The last detailed model was about 3 ft tall. I even had a little diorama piece showing the company just at the giants waist about to pass him as he awoke. (Slightly different to how it panned out in the film but hey!) I’m looking forward to seeing this issue of SBG. 🙂 Great work guys/Tom If you want to check out more of my Hobbit/LOTR work… Read more »
