Footsore Miniatures have dropped a little preview showing off the progress made on bringing Gangs Of Rome to the tabletop. Are you excited about this Ancient miniatures game of 28mm scuffling on the streets of Rome?

According to the folks behind the book, it should be finished at the end of September and then get sent off to the printers! For those who backed the Kickstarter campaign in March this year, it shouldn't be much longer before you get your hands on the updated rules for this gang-based wargame of skulduggery in Ancient Rome.

One of the big things about Gangs Of Rome and this new edition of the rules is that the designers have added more diagrams and pictures to help get you immersed in the world. This should make it a lot easier to follow and provide you with some fun ideas as to where you could take your games.
Gangs Of Rome always seemed like a fun game to play and it had a unique premise to it as well. We see a lot of games about crime and backstabbing in the modern day but not many set back in Ancient history!
Are you going to be watching out for the new Gangs Of Rome when it lands hopefully towards the start of 2024?

The big reveal on the KS was a box of multipart plastic Citizens of Rome are coming. The KS is due to delivery in January so hopefully this will be available some time after that?
Agreed, this is an interesting time period to play out crime wars. More silly Roman names along the lines of those in ‘The Life of Brian’, like Lootious Minimus among others, might be in order.
Gerry sold me on this game a few years ago when describing the scorpion-thrower during an XLBS show. I love the setting and I especially love that it isn’t a military game, but my favorite thing about it is the way it handles NPCs, both the individual incola characters (like the aforementioned scorpion-thrower), and especially the wandering mobs. It looks like the new rulebook is going to tighten things up a little and make the gameplay even more fluid than it already is. I’m really looking forward to it.
I am so looking forward to this as i have been helping with the playtesting and the rules as amazing.
Best part of the rules is I am in there are a character
I’m Spartacus.
