We've seen the work on the renders for the new Rangers Of Shadow Deep miniatures by North Star but now they've shown off the metal figures that you'll be getting soon.

Male Ranger With Head - North Star

The current set of miniatures will focus on two male Rangers and two female Rangers. The first of these (shown above) presents you with a Ranger based on the character from the front of the book, holding a severed head. I think this grim warrior is a perfect leader for those heading out to uncover what mysteries await in the woods.

We also have this Male Ranger, drawing his sword. Once again I'm loving the look and how much has been able to transfer over from the render into the final miniature.

Male Ranger With Sword - North Star

I think that this set would work well for someone building a team of Rangers which fill the different character types available. So, you could have everyone cloaked and hooded, loyal followers, of the main Ranger. This would be a nice difference from the standard Ranger and Companion array you see.

We also have these Female Rangers, the first of which is carrying two daggers into battle. She is clearly facing off against perhaps one of the deadly bosses that you face during your adventures.

Female Ranger With Daggers - North Star

There's also this lady with the bow who is taking enemies out at range, pinning them down and making sure that her companions are safe from zombie attack!

Female Ranger With Bow - North Star

In many different skirmish games, I'm really enjoying taking more archers. I love archery as a form of combat and I think people can see it as a bit useless in skirmish games as bows usually become a bit useless when the enemy gets too close!

Buzzing Flies

As well as the Rangers one of the recurring creatures in the game is the deadly Fly.

Bloat Fly - North Star

These might either be sold separately or as a pack depending on what folks want to see.

I think this is going to be a fantastic range and whilst you can really play this game with whatever you have in your collection its good to see a range which supplements it so well.

What do you think of the new models now we've seen them in metal?
