Over the years, Arkham Horror LCG has had a lot of changes. Initially released in 2016, the popular card game from Fantasy Flight Games took horror tabletop gamers by storm. As players investigated their way through monster after monster, and the world became to grow into expansion after expansion, to create the LCG we all love and cherish today.

Arkham Horror TCG: Revised // Fantasy Flight Games

The game itself has not changed, veteran players will not be missing out as the game is still the same fundamentally. There are no extras included in the box which you cannot find elsewhere, the rules, campaigns and experience are still exactly the same however, there have been some updates to the cards from the early stages of the game to allow new players to immerse themselves into the horror even easier.

If you have been looking into jumping into Horror, the revised set would prove the perfect opportunity to do so. Some of the cards will have updated artwork and the box itself has had a complete organisational upgrade to help those new players from becoming overwhelmed.

Arkham Horror TCG: Revised // Fantasy Flight Games

What could that possibly mean? An organisation upgrade? Are you one of those people who like to buy dividers and keep the contents of your board and card games set up in the correct way? Well, Fantasy Flight are one step ahead of you:

"The contents of the box have received an organizational upgrade, meaning that it’s much easier to find specific cards than it was before. Each investigator is packaged right alongside all the cards in their suggested starting deck, and each scenario has all of its cards packaged separately from the others, which means all you will need to do to get started is shuffle the decks and you’re ready to go. On top of that, some additional quality-of-life improvements have been made, such as new numbered resource and clue/threat tokens and even a lead investigator token!"

There is some really exciting content coming from Fantasy Flight, looking after their players and their hunt to stop the Mythos. The revisited edition will be available to pick up in October 2021, so if you have been itching for some investigating, if I were you, I would wait until October with the aid of organisation in the box to help throw you into the horror.

I think this is a wonderful idea, LGCs are so overwhelming to get into. I am really glad that Fantasy Flight are adding the new layout inside the box to help players learn and play the game even faster. Less faffing, more investigating!

What card game would you like to see have a re-organisation?
