New Onna Musha & Samurai For Grey For Now’s Test Of Honour
June 24, 2024 by brennon
Grey For Now Games has added two new miniatures to their Test Of Honour range. Leading the way is the Mori Clan Onna Musha, a deadly warrior woman who is particularly adept at fighting alongside your other samurai.
Clan Mori Onna Musha // Test Of Honour
The Onna Musha were female warriors of the samurai class who ended up fighting alongside the men in battle. You might have heard about the Onna Bugeisha which, according to Grey For Now, refers to the women who fought at home defending their villagers from attack. An interesting distinction.
As well as being a deadly fighter, this particular Onna Musha is also an effective archer thanks to her Mori Clan connections. Take aim and make use of the less of the Three Arrows...
"Their daimyo, Mori Motonori, is also attributed with the lesson of the Three Arrows. Giving each of his three sons an arrow, they were able to snap them easily. But then, binding three arrows together, the result was too strong to break, making the point that they must work as one to succeed. It is a moral still taught to young Japanese children today."
In addition to the miniature, you also get associated cards for use with her and the rest of your warband.
You can also call on the marshal skills of this Clan Hojo Samurai...
Clan Hojo Samurai // Test Of Honour
The Hojo Clan were famous as builders and defenders of forts and castles making them perfect for watching over objectives. They have the Stand Fast skill which stops them from being pushed back and the Sentinel skill means a companion takes an injury rather than being cut down, only if they are contesting an objective. A solid miniature to help sure up some gaps in your warband perhaps.
