New Lord Of The Rings 5th Edition RPG Adventures Await

Free League Publishing has been showing off two new supplements coming to The Lord Of The Rings Roleplaying range. These new books take the content from previous The One Ring releases and adapt it for the 5th Edition rules used for this alternative way to dive into their take on Middle-earth.
Tales From Eriador // The Lord Of The Rings Roleplaying
Tales From Eriador takes the adventure compendium, Tales From The Lone-Lands and introduces six adventures for you to have a go at with your Fellowship. Inside you get...
- A Troll-Hole, If Ever There Was One and Kings of Little Kingdoms are relatively self-contained adventures but still hint at a growing danger.
- Messing About In Boats involves directly one member of the Company, in an unexpected way!
- Not To Strike Without Need and Wonder of the Northern World follow the slow infiltration of spies of the Enemy.
- The Quest of Amon Guruthos challenges the heroes to battle an ancient evil.
So, plenty of extra quests for you to dive into if you're seeking to have a guided start in The Lord Of The Rings Roleplaying. The quests in the Starter Set are great but very Shire and Hobbit focused so these might be handy if you're looking to make a more diverse Fellowship intent in exploring Eriador.
The second of the supplements is Ruins Of Eriador which adapts Ruins Of The Lost Realm which was penned for The One Ring.

This is a much more wide-ranging book which explores not just some adventure ideas but also plots locations that you could explore as your Fellowship. You'll delve into Arnor, the city of Tharbad and explore a variety of locations that are both historically linked to Middle-earth canonically and some that have been crafted by the designers. It breaks down as such...
- Chapter 1: Fog Over Eriador offers a description of the regions that once were part of the kingdom of Arnor, with a focus on the city of Tharbad.
- Chapter 2: A Gathering Storm provides the Loremaster with a set of narrative elements aimed at building a possible future for the land of Eriador as a whole, including the description of many looming threats, Loremaster characters and their agendas.
- Chapter 3: Landmarks adds twelve sites of interest in the style of the one presented in the core volume. These locations depict both ‘historical’ sites mentioned in The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, and others that have been created specifically for the game.
These will be very helpful for those Loremasters out there who are eager to start telling new stories in Middle-earth and are also seeking a bit of guidance on running adventures.

I glean a sense of geeky heart fluttering while this was lovingly written by dear @brennon as another love letter to his favorite IP. Good stuff to see more expansion on Middle Earth
Ooh nice looking additions to get into trouble with your friends and enemy’s.
More tempted as a GM with these than the shire book (not that i don’t like hobbits mind you 😉 )! Still have to take a look at the core rules to have a better idea of how it playes out with 5th edition (i haven’t played the original system and don’t plan to…)…
Book of adventures for the One Ring not out yet. Didn’t know it existed until I saw this story about the tweaked version.
Heard that wotc are putting up prices of 5e books by 20% to $60 a time. Maybe because 5e sales are down due to the OGL fiasco.
