I have the original Lot5R rpg from 20 odd years ago, it’s nice to see it’s back I wonder how much of the system/background has changed or if they’ve kept it largely the same.
House Crane FTW
Phoenix Clan for me.
I’m also interested in whether this is a reboot of the timeline or a continuation.
The system is no longer the roll and keep dice mechanic, but instead uses the success and misfortune dice that FFG introduced in WFRP 3e, their Stars Wars RPGs and their Genesys open rule set.
oh that’s a shame I didn’t like WFRP in any way shape or form, so much so that I avoided their SW. Thankfully I still have my worse for wear version of the original
Aside from that, the lore and background is the same, with the narrative evolving alongside the Living Card Game (although I think FFG have ended that now?). But I reckon you could still pick up the odd newer sourcebook and use it with the older core rules, with a bit of fudging around the different dice resolution system.
I liked the originals, I hope the new ones will be at least that good
Hmm seems tempting.
Looks good.
I will wait for the sequel which is out and the cinema soon, “Shang-Chi and the legend of the 10 rings”…..I will get my coat.
