Knight Models has shown off probably one of the most awaited models from the new Batman Miniatures Game and its 3rd Edition. Meet The Joker!

Everyone knows about The Joker considering how pervasive he is in popular culture but here's the blurb from Knight Models on this particular addition to the world of Batman...
"Batman’s arch-nemesis returns to Gotham with a single mission in mind…CREATE CHAOS. Joker brings to battle his impractically violent and hideously hilarious weaponry, from explosive Joker Teeth to his lethal Laughing Gas – all designed to kill his enemies in the most horrible way possible.
The Man Who Laughs sows discord and anarchy with a permanent grin etched onto his features, and his unpredictability makes him Batman’s ultimate foe, pushing the Dark Knight to the limit time and again in the ongoing battle between good and evil.
The Joker’s manic, impulsive and homicidal personality is reflected in the style and tactics of his unique crew. Determined to bring victory for the Clown Prince of Crime in the most theatrical, dangerous and insane way imaginable. After all, everything’s more fun when it gets a little crazy…"
The model is again looking rather impressive and he is surrounded by some very odd-looking goons. Once again, whilst this is a very nice display-style base it would be good to know if you can mount the Joker on a more playable base as well. It does look like you could tweak it and then use the rest of the model as terrain elements.
Here is a closer look at the model and some of the hangers-on sticking around with The Joker.
I love the look of the model which has seriously been given a new edge. It reminds me a lot of The Joker from both the video games and the animated series with his own personal brand of maniacal madness.
What do you make of The Joker?

My verdict is the same as the rest of these major character models: impractical for the tabletop but staggering sculpts.
Can we get a version on a 2p base? ?
Nice looks a bit mad maxy with the kid’s hanging of everything.
Goddamit. Its awesome. But its a strange model to around the tabletop.
No use on the tabletop, it’s a display model.
I think knight are forgetting that people want to play games with their minis… not just paint them and put in a cupboard to gather dust.
Love that the fish and the ha tare a throwback to that one episode of Batman: The Animated Series, but the base doesn’t fit that at all.
Would have been better if they gave him a normal base that could be fittend in that big diorama base like FW does for their character series.
I have to agree with all of the above posters. These are better served as display models rather than gaming pieces. Knight Models have forgotten that ‘less is more’, especially in gaming.
The fish is indeed a throwback to the animated series where Joker poisons Gotham’s fisheries to give all the fish his likeness – and so claim the royalties! There appears to be one on Harvey Bullocks base, which is a nice touch.
The impish goons are from The Killing Joke, so another Joker landmark reference.
It is a fantastic sculpt. I just don’t see it as being at all practical. As the new rules dictate this Joker is played on a big base you would have to get creative to find a way to make him removable.
GW started this trend of “big diorama as gaming piece” with that new Skeleton Xerxes guy, and then followed it up with the Triumph of St. Katherine.
I have to admit, that as nice as these look for display, they are really inconvenient for gameplay and storage/transportation, and it’s a trend I hope we don’t continue to see expanding across the industry.
