Archon Studio has expanded their range for Masters Of The Universe: Battleground. A host of new heroes and villains have entered the fray as part of wave three. Plenty of fun additional characters from the old show are making an appearance.

In this first set, you get two new characters to fight alongside the Masters Of The Universe. You have Buzz-Off in the mix here who I always thought was a bad guy. I even had the toy for this fellow! You also have Man-E-Faces (wow) who really hits the nail on the head when it comes to the "toy" naming of these characters.

The set has two characters and some bonus terrain elements that can be added to the mix to spice up your games. I really like the sculpting on the characters from Battleground and I like that Archon has kept a lot of the "look" from the original cartoon and toy line but with a modern twist here and there.

It's not just the heroes that get themselves a brand-new set. There is also a set for the Evil Warriors with another good set of villains and terrain to use in your games.

This set comes with Whiplash and Stinkor. I had to have a big chart up that told me who these characters were by the way. I knew the main cast but some of them were quite fringe for me! I'm sure many of you knew who these characters were without issue.

Things have been expanding very nicely for Archon Studio with Masters Of The Universe: Battleground and I would imagine there is far more waiting in the wings. It should be mentioned that all of these releases are only available in selected European countries so you'll need to find a lovely European friend if you'd like to snap these up over in the US.

Are you tempted to snap up these new sets?
