New Hardback Book For Rangers Of Shadow Deep Coming Soon

A new hardback book is on the way for fans of Rangers Of Shadow Deep. Joseph A. McCullough and Modiphius have been working together on a new big book that collects together previously written material and presents new background and lore for the Fantasy lands of Alladore. Inside the book, you'll find...
- Advanced Character Creation including new Traits and Limitations that players can use to bring greater tactical and narrative variation to their rangers.
- Ten ‘Archetypes’ that players can use to create new characters, representing the heroes that have come from the lands around Alladore to join the fight against the Shadow Deep.
- Collects five previously stand-alone supplements for the game: Blood Moon, Temple of Madness, Ghost Stone, Incinerator, and Menagerie.
- Fifty-two unique enchanted weapons.
- A bestiary featuring all the creatures from the core rulebook and all the collected supplements.
- Copious new artwork from the visionary of the Shadow Deep, Barrett Stanley.
I like the addition of the Archetypes as this is a fun way for you to dive in and play around with a template for the "in-world" Alladore that McCullough has been working on. It's also good to see that it binds together a lot of the stand-alone supplements into one place for folks.
McCullough also mentioned that in the writing of this book, he wanted to make sure that this didn't feel like it would have people having to collect material they'd already purchased for the game. So, Modiphius has agreed that the PDF version of the book will be costed to match the same price of just the new section of the book, the Advanced Character Creation element. That seems pretty awesome for fans who have been diligently collecting everything for Rangers Of Shadow Deep over the years.

I also really like that we get more lore! More background, art and such is going to be great for those looking to paint up bands of Rangers. Maybe you'll be tempted to dive into the Red Hawk Knights (above) some more and theme your little band of adventurers around them.

Can’t wait for this. Mr McCullough starting rangers with very little back story and then building up has allowed me to, in Warzan Words “game in the gaps’. Looking forward to seeing how I can fit my rangers in or take inspiration from this.
Something exciting for the new year. Modiphius also announced a new book for Five Parsecs From Home which includes Bug Hunt which is basically Aliens or Space Hulk.
Rosd one of the crutches that kept me sane during lockdown. I keep meaning to go back and play it as a co-op with my group now we are all free. Maybe now is a good time to revisit Alladore.
