Snap Up New Fantasy Heroes & Villains From Unreleased Miniatures
December 16, 2022 by brennon
Some absolutely awesome new 28mm Fantasy miniatures have been added to the mix for Unreleased Miniatures' ever-expanding collection of Middle-earth adjacent models. See what you think of these new heroes and villains from the kingdoms of men.
Quartermaster Of The Swan Order On Foot // Unreleased Miniatures
We start off with a look at some of the different factions and orders that can be drawn on in a time of need. There is the Quartermaster Of The Swan for example who comes on foot and mounted, offering up a dashing veteran with a spectacular beard who has clearly seen many battles.

Fighting alongside the Quartermaster, there are also a number of Halberdiers that got added into the mix. They look like they have seen many a battle themselves and have a bit of a dour quality to them. I like that so much attention has been given over to the extra equipment that they are carrying alongside their long halberds.

Going back to characters, there is also the addition of the Highlanders Chieftain who is calling his warriors forward with a hefty claymore in hand for cleaving orcs in twain.

Matching him, there is also a set of Highlanders' Swordsmen who are posed in different ways, fending off enemies or getting ready to do some serious damage.

Considering it's quite hard to get your hands on a good variety of the Fiefdoms miniatures for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, these are a welcome addition. They should work nicely alongside the official miniatures but you could of course use them for a mass of other Fantasy games too.
Lastly, for the various fringe factions at least, we have this Sharpshooters Leader who is ready for everyone. Sword, spear and bow are at the ready!

This fellow looks neat and I am totally on board with the classic Robin Hood vibes coming off his outfit. Call him Flynn and you'd be on to something I reckon!
Royal Riders
As well as those folks, we also got a look at a new miniature for those who prefer their army to be mounted. The Royal Field Marshal has a version on foot with sword held high...

...and you can also get him mounted on the back of a trusty steed, shown in the act of cleaving an orc's head off! I really like the moment they have captured here and again, the amount of detail in the sculpt is just fantastic.

You can twin this with a lot of the existing Unreleased Miniatures collection to make quite the awesome army of mounted warriors now.
Warriors Of Evil
If you wanted to side with the forces of shadow and evil instead, you can also pick up two new evil heroes if you like. Maybe you want to whip your raiders into shape with the Ruthless Bo'Sun?

I could see him trying to force his fellow sailors to leap overboard and get stuck into some raiding along the coast. Again, the variety of trinkets and accessories on the miniature is really nice to see and should be fun when bringing the miniature to life and making him stand out on the tabletop.
Last but not least, there is also the Champion Of The Desert who is getting ready to stick someone who got a little too close.

All of these miniatures are available over on the New Products section of the Unreleased Miniatures webstore. Plenty of their previous raft of releases are also featured there too so you'll find a wealth of options when it comes to filling the gaps in your collection. I particularly like their Men Of The West.
Do you have any favourites from this new set?
