New Edition Of Werewolf The Apocalpse Springs From The Wild
December 16, 2019 by brennon
A new edition of Werewolf The Apocalpyse is on the cards now thanks to Hunters Entertainment, makers of the Kids On Bikes and more. Here's what we know so far...
The new edition of the game is going to have similarities mechanically to the latest release of Vampire The Masquerade but with lots that obviously make it unique. With the subtitle of Apocalypse, we can assume that the original line-up of tribes are also going to be coming back, perhaps with a few tweaks here and there.
According to the first teasers for the game, you're going to be playing as Garou who have effectively failed. Gaia is dying and the generations of Garou who have grown up trying to combat the changing world are now unable to reach a consensus as to how to put right the problems facing them and their spiritual mother.
Opposition now comes from within and without as you struggle to work together and put tribal allegiances up against the common good. I love the sound of this and as someone who grew up playing the old editions before Forsaken, this is my Werewolf.
I can't wait to dive back into the Umbra and see where Hunters Entertainment takes Werewolf The Apocalypse next alongside Paradox Interactive and Renegade Games.
Will you be keeping an eye on this?

Ooh nice.
Just curious but how many times has Werewolf been rebooted now? Is this the second time? If they go back to some of the original elements from Apocalypse that can’t be a bad thing. I know the mid 2000s introduced new players to a different iteration of World of Darkness but I do recall the older players not finding it very good with the changes to the setting.
It has only really been ‘rebooted’ once as far as I can tell when they changed it to Forsaken in the New WoD. Otherwise, it has just been the old setting (in this case Apocalypse) in new editions.
This just seems to take a new step forward in the timeline for Apocalypse.
Ah, cool. Forsaken was in the… 2005 ish era or am I mixing it up with something else.
I think the older setting has been more fondly remembered but its been out a few years now. Guess its down to personal preference since it is out a while now.
The more variety the better, I guess.
