New Claymore Castings Medieval Bowmen & Skirmishers

Claymore Castings has released two new packs of 28mm metal miniatures for use in your Medieval wargames. We start with a set of Dismounted Horse Archers who are getting ready to cover a skirmish from afar.

This is designed to represent a set of men-at-arms and archers that have followed their leader into a skirmish and dismounted in order to aid from afar. I love the dynamism in the poses and the action that it adds to the tabletop. I think these would be perfect for a skirmish wargame, maybe something like The Barons' War?

The next set is a band of Skirmish Javelin Men who have been designed to match a variety of European armies from the Medieval period.

They have been summoned from their fields and are now whipping javelins at pesky invaders who have dared to step onto their land. You might not be heavily armoured but if you've got a big sharp stick and plenty of range to engage from, you can cause some proper chaos.

That Knight might think he has a chance but I reckon he is going to go down in a bundle of metal and horse. This adds to an already awesome collection of miniatures from the folks at Claymore Castings.
