New Chaos Legionnaires Clash In Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry
July 25, 2022 by brennon
Games Workshop has been showing off even more for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry over the last week or so. As well as a new set coming up for pre-order this weekend, we also got a look at the new Chaos Legionnaires.

These Chaos Legionnaires are the servants of Be'lakor himself. He has no love for the Everchosen and so has been twisting his servants and turning them to his own means. These new warriors have an Undivided look to them but their allegiance to Be'lakor is shown clearly thanks to the daemon faces etched in their armour.

This very cool warband evokes The Old World as much as it does The Mortal Realms. I liked the padded armour mixed with the larger metal plates and the overly baroque helmet designs. I like that the shields are reminiscent of old Marauder shields too.
Ride Forth With The Centaurian Marshals
If you need an enforcer for your army then you can also draw on the might of the mutated Centaurian Marshals.

These Marshals can join any of the Chaos warbands in Warcry and offers a seriously beefed-up ally. The weight of muscle that you get to bring to bear is one thing, but the Marshal also features plenty more skills to make him an intriguing ally. He too might also find himself allied to the plots and schemes of Be'lakor.
This offers up another fiendish option when it comes to diving in seeking the fabled Eye Of Chotec in the depths of the Gnarlwood.
Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry - Heart Of Ghur
The previews above are coming hot on the heels of the new boxed set that we saw in a Warhammer Preview recently. Heart Of Ghur will be available for pre-order this weekend.

As we've mentioned in previous posts, this offers up another entry point to Warcry. It comes with two warbands, terrain, tokens, rules and cards for playing your games. On the one side of things, you have the forest-dwelling Rotmire Creed...

...and on the other side of things, you have the Horns Of Hashut. Presented here in this force, you have the skulking and scheming Rotmire Creed going up against the forged brass, iron and rage of the Horns Of Hashut.

As with all of the warbands for Warcry, this offers up a great way for you to dive into the varied aspects of Chaos in Warhammer. I like that none of these warriors are specifically shown as worshippers of Khorne, Nurgle and the like. Instead, they are drawn to elements of those terrifying deities or in some cases, a somewhat minor god. I wonder what Hashut has planned for the future?
As well as the two warbands, you also get all of the Gnarlwood terrain which offers up a different landscape to battle across.

It will be neat to see if this terrain becomes available separately later down the line. I reckon a lot of folks would like to snap this up to use in their regular games of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar, especially since Ghur features so prevalently at the moment.
Are you going to be diving into Warcry with this next set of releases from Games Workshop?

I like them. The Chaos Legionnaires give me a classical evil army feel.
Anyone else getting an Ian Miller vibe from those Chaos Legionnaires?
Yessss!! Spot on!
Nice looking figures for gaming.
Those look really good.
Those legionaires are insanely good. For once I am impressed.
I do like these Chaos Legionnaires. They have a lot less armour than the plate wearing Choas legion. That armour and style of helm makes me which more of Asia troops a more chinese style of warror. I was not bother by the ones in the new starter set to be honest but these I might pick up seperate.
I don’t normally go for Chaos, but the coat of plates/brigandine look is really doing it for me.
