New Burrows & Badgers Starter Warbands Planned For Next Year
August 9, 2024 by brennon
Oathsworn Miniatures has teased the first miniature that will be part of one of two Starter Warbands for the new edition of Burrows & Badgers which is due next year. See what you think!
Otter Knight // Burrows & Badgers
This fellow is Bartrick Steelheart, the Otter Knight who comes clad in heavy armour and with a polearm at the ready. I sense he might have just downed an enemy and is looking to finish them off. I am a big Otter fan so having another of these miniatures in the range is great to see.
The two starter warbands are going to cover the Royalists and the Rogues and they will be designed to match the right pennies and equipment costs so you can get started with them right away. Bartrick Steelheart is the leader of the Royalists and I'd say he's a dashing gentleotter to have by your side.

I am very intrigued to see how the other miniatures in both warbands take shape. I am endeavouring to get back into some Burrows & Badgers soon and start battling through the rest of my collection.
Will you be picking up the new rules and warbands for Burrows & Badgers?

New goodies for one of the best games on the market? Consider me excited!
Seriously, go try Burrows & Badgers. It’s amazing.
I’m definitely picking up the new rules. And who am I kidding: the minis too, but there are still so many I have to paint…
A new edition of Burrows & Badgers? Count me in.
Also: an otter for the OTTers!
Has there been any info on what changes to the rules will happen ?
The major changes are: splitting movement out of Actions, so an Attack Action no longer includes a move, and adding a Move Action. And everyone gets two Actions a Turn. It’s not a massive change, but makes the game easier to understand, and means you can move AFTER attacking, shooting, casting etc rather than just before. Also, Fate points are different; each model has their own, and uses them for re-rolls, or to activate the more powerful Skills and Spells. Other than that, it’s more tweaks than big changes, and we’ve added stuff from the Journals, so there’s 10 Allegiances,… Read more »
