New Age Of Sigmar: Warcry Set Revealed – Sundered Fate
October 24, 2022 by brennon
Games Workshop has announced the next big set for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry. Sundered Fate introduces more clashes in the depths of the Gnarlwood between the Chameleon Skinks and the Jade-Masked Cultists of Tzeentch.

The new set features the continued exploration of the Gnarlwood searching the treasures from the crashed ship, Eye Of Chotec. On the one side of things, you have the scaled Hunters Of Huanchi that fight under the banner of the Seraphon.

This is another rather stunning set of miniatures for Warcry featuring the wonderful Chameleon Skinks. It makes a lot of sense that you'd see (or not see) these fellows sneaking around in the woods, hunting down those that stray across their path. You've got a good mix of ranged and melee elements that will be fun to use. You'll also note that you get some awesome dinosaurs!
On the other side of things, you have the Jade Obelisk, a set of Tzeentchian cultists who have pledged themselves to hunt out treasures in the darkness.

Coming from the city of Nephricar (yes, more "random" peoples of the Mortal Realms - I like it when we get to see other human cultures beyond the Free Cities), the Jade Obelisk have made a pact with the Speaker In The Stone. As their bodies are slowly turned to stone, they use their power to seek out strange artefacts for their dark master.
Finally, there is also a new set of terrain pieces that could be combined with the previous Gnarlwood set to give you more to play with.

I quite like both of the warbands in this set although I think I prefer the spooky-looking Jade Obelisk. They have an amazing Bronze Age look and feel to their design which makes them stand out from a lot of the other Chaos Cults out there. Another fun option for those seeking to learn more about the people who don't worship Sigmar.
Are you tempted to snap up this set?

Ok, the Skinks are baller, not gonna lie, but those Jade Obelisk cultists are a must-have
Great looking miniatures. Warcry is easily most creative line that GW currently has when it comes to sculpts.
So are the cold ones back then.
I do like the minis, especially the Tzeentch, but I haven’t had chance to play my original box of Warcry and my pile of plastic/resin/metal is more a hillock by this point.
Plus my painting skills are not good enough to make them look that good…
Although the next RPG I’m running is fantasy and they’d make great jungle savages and cultists.
Interesting box but, i’m not interested in the game… And my pile of shame for minis is also large 😉
