Brother Vinni has added another new set of miniatures to their collection recently for those looking to build up Dark Age and Medieval armies. See what you make of these Italo-Norman Knights that could be handy in games like SAGA.

Italo-Norman Knights #1 - Brother Vinni

Italo-Norman Knights // Brother Vinni

These four knights represent the descendants of the Normans that travelled to Southern Europe and built their kingdoms there. Whilst many of them retained the core identity of being "Norman", their arms, armour and fighting were often influenced by the Greeks, Lombards and Arabs.

These warriors also found themselves often used as mercenaries, especially by the Byzantines. You could also see these warriors heading across the sea to Africa or perhaps fighting in the Crusades.

Italo-Norman Knights #2 - Brother Vinni

I do like that you can see that distinctly Norman look and feel to the miniatures, especially with those iconic helmets and kite shields. You then start to see other influences sneaking through in the style of their armour. A new project for someone who wants to make a Norman army but take them in a different direction.

Could you be tempted to snap up these new Italo-Norman Knights?
