NeverRealm Preview Their New Sci-Fi Project, Deathmatch!
November 20, 2019 by brennon
NeverRealm Industry, famous for their work on the Fantasy game Summoners and it's weird and wonderful creations, has been talking about a new game they have in the works too called Deathmatch.
Deathmatch is going to be a Sci-Fi arena-based game where you take control of a band of competitors who are looking to fight over objectives and get frags at the same time. It won't just be for two players either with chatter of it being able to bulk up to more players for added chaos.
The game is also going to be the first foray into the realm of digital sculpting for the team at NeverRealm. Up until now the models for Summoners have been sculpted by hand but they are reaching into the cyber-void for this one to see what they can produce. As it stands we've just got these two previews at the moment but the idea of a video-game inspired game on the tabletop for a bunch of different players sounds like fun.
NeverRealm has also said that Deathmatch won't be coming to the forefront of their minds until Summoners is completed and released. So, for fans of Fantasy, they are still focusing on that which is good to hear.
What do you think of the models they have produced so far?

Many players. Looks a laugh, looks a good one to try with my group.
A last man standing game sounds good.
