Mythic Articulations Bring 32mm Fauns Back From The Dead
October 20, 2014 by brennon
Mythic Articulation have realised that it's not just humans that come back from the dead as skeletons. Their latest release is a set of 32mm Faun Skeletons complete with piper...
As you can see they are a bit spindly but they've been made out of slightly flexible and translucent resin. The miniatures above have been sprayed with a layer of grey paint just to let you know. These are also 3D printed to order which is quite cool.
I have no idea what I'd use these for but I think the idea that they've gone out of their way to create some different skeletons to use in your games is cool. I could potentially see this being used with something Ancient Greek with the likes of Odysseus and such around fighting against some risen fauns.
What do you think?
I can see the jerky animation now! Wonderful concept, and they look great. I would be a bit worried about these, though. They don’t look all that robust.
Those are rather nice idea. What if humans were not only once that were risen as skeletons.
I must admit that name Faun is new to me. To me those look like satyrs. Maybe fauns and satyrs are same thing but I could be wrong.
Fauns and Satyrs are pretty much the same creature as far as I know, @mecha82. 🙂
That’s what I thought.
Yeah, fauns, satyrs, Pan – they’re all the same mythical creatures.
Brilliant non human skeletons.
I’m using these as skeletal satyr psiloi (say that three times fast) to skirmish in front of my skeletal hoplite phalanx (mostly Eureka skeletal hoplites with some Foundry and Wargames Factory figures as well)
The models are scaled down versions of their original faun model. Hopefully, if these are successful, they will scale down some of their other models to 32mm scale. They have some great mythical creatures; skeletal harpies, unicorns, pegasus, griffons, hippogriffs, etc.
