Two New Magic The Gatherings Sets Return To Innistrad This Fall
August 12, 2021 by fcostin
Things are getting a little spooky over at Wizards of the Coast, as they have now confirmed not just one set to make its way on our tabletop this Autumn, but two. And by spooky, I mean that werewolves and vampires are lurking to join the fray, as the return of Innistrad has now been announced - and right in time for Halloween!
Innistrad: Midnight Hunt // Magic: The Gathering
We aren't in Strixxhaven anymore, Dorothy! The upcoming sets place players into familiar territory, the gothic-pulp setting Innistrad, which will be familiar to long-standing MTG players, since the prior release in 2011 - a setting that is known for vampires and werewolves lurking in the shadows, causing chaos and going about in their misery business.
Innistrad: Crimson Vow // Magic: The Gathering
Heading back to Innistrad in September, we see the release of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt - taking players into the Harvesttide Festival as villagers like in fear from the Werewolves picking off their livelihood one by one. We also journey deep into Innistrad in November too, with the release of Innistrad: Crimson Vow - looking at the hierarchy of Vampire lineage using their powerful skills of deception to attend an event of great importance.
For those who are looking to find out more about the two new upcoming sets, on August 24th Wizards of the Coast have confirmed a showcase where more information will be revealed concerning the new beasties and nightmares to join the fray.

Innistrad: Crimson Vow // Magic: The Gathering
Magic: The Gathering Arena and Magic Online can get their hands on these decks first, with the release of Innistrad Midnight Hunt coming September 16th, and week, players can enjoy the full physical release on 24th September. Innistrad: Crimson Vow heads to Arena and Online on November 11th and compliments the full physical release on November 19th.

this is sounding good.
Here’s something WOTC rarely gets credit for: Packaging graphics. Srsly, those are some great looking booster boxes/packs/displays. Hobby gaming is full of half-arsed packaging graphics, but Magic is always very on-point with theirs. Good on them, looks first rate.
