The Mountain Leads His Men In A Song Of Ice & Fire

Cool Mini Or Not have turned their attention to the Lannisters now and have shown off the sculpts for the Mountain and his heavily armoured men. Ser Gregor Clegane is perhaps the most brutal soldier at the Lannister's disposal.
This sculpt does promise to capture the sheer scale of The Mountain That Rides. He's as intimidating as his reputation makes him out to be, although I do think he looks a little top heavy.
Clegane's Men
As brutal as Clegane is, he only accepts men with similar attitudes to warfare to his private force.
Each of these models looks fitting for the unit, but I would have liked to see a bit more variety between each of them.

First off, it is very much like CMON to show off the figures over the game play because that is really what they are selling.
Second, for “The Mountain” I wish they had used the Dragon’s Head Helmet he had on in Season 1 Episode 1 when they visited the Kingdom of the North in the HBO series.
I think that you might be confusing Ser Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane with his younger brother Sandor ‘The Hound’ Clegane, who wears a helmet in the shape of a hound’s head.
To your second point: Believe you mistake the brothers Clegane here. 😉 Didn’t re-watch that episode but from the books’ story and considering how the Cleganes are described as well as how they are depicted in the series I’m this applies: A) This is the Mountain That Rides, not The Hound. Meaning Gregor Clegane, not his younger brother Sandor Clegane. Gregor was always only in for brutality and during the course of the escalation crisis leading up to open the war he quite early went somewhat rogue rampageing with a host through the riverlands (in truth still a chesspiece to… Read more »
The Mountain and his mates are looking good.
Great figures.
Is that a fist on top of the Mountain’s helm?
I admit these seem extremely fitting for Gregor’s raiding party. Looking just as nasty and rag tag as the evil bstrds that form the murdering band led this savage madman should.
a great armoured unit.
I like ’em big ugly and filthy .. and that the minis not me, although it could be both.
