MORK BORG Gets Stripped Down & FREE Bare Bones Edition
July 13, 2022 by brennon
I love MORK BORG. I love how unashamedly over-the-top it is both in its graphic design and its attitude. I talked about it quite a bit in my review of the game which you can find HERE. But, the team behind the game have put together a new Bare Bones Edition which is both FREE (yep, free) and makes things a lot easier to read.
Bare Bones Edition // MORK BORG
This new version of MORK BORG doesn't change any of the rules but it offers up all of the rules in plain text and on a white background. For a lot of folks (including myself), it was a bit hard sometimes to work out what a particular section of the book was trying to tell you due to the graphic design. This removes all that and offers up things in a basic fashion, plain and simple.

The added benefit is that this also makes MORK BORG much more accessible for those who found it hard to read the book for whatever reason. Does the game lose something of its charm? Perhaps, but I think that's worth sacrificing to make the game available to more people.

As I mentioned, this Bare Bones Edition of the game is available for free over on the MORK BORG website. You can also go to the itch.io site and download it there, paying a little for the PDF if you prefer. They have specifically said that you should just take it for free but if you want to pay then you can.
You can still, of course, pick up the traditional version of MORK BORG as well so have no fear, that isn't going anywhere.
Are you tempted to give MORK BORG a go now there is a Bare Bones Edition that won't make your eyes bleed (which in itself is quite MORK BORGIAN)?
Let us know your thoughts below. Should more games do this?

Really nice thing for them to do. Love the look of the original book but definitely was problematic for reading
